Even though its (very impressive, full color) cover reads May 2009, the latest  print issue of Scifaikuest  just landed in my mailbox yesterday.  As usual, this self-proclaimed "magazine of minimalist poetry" delivers a lot in its 44 pages.

The Featured Poet for this issue is [livejournal.com profile] dreamnnightmare , with a generous selection of his scifaiku, tanka, fibs, haibun, and other short-form works.  There is also an educational article by Shelly Bryant, haiga by Tom Conally and xeno-unit, and an assortment of scifaiku, tanka, haibun, and other verses --including the science rengay "After the Library Launch" by [livejournal.com profile] dkolodji  and Yours Truly.

Anyone interested in speculative verse should  also check out the online edition of this magazine, which offers another sample of what can be done with few words and a little Asian inspiration.
