The StarShipSofa podcast is offering three BSFA Nominee short stories this week, beginning with "Evidence of Love in a Case of Abandonment" by M. Rickert (which first appeared in F&SF, Oct/Nov 2008).
I was reminded strongly of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale when I listened to this one, and Amy H. Sturgis's narration adds a childlike yet deeply disturbing tone. Well worth the roughly 30 minutes of listening time for anyone interested in modern feminist SF, it's available here or on iTunes under StarShipSofa.
