women in horror/SF fiction on the Sofa

Fans of Caitlin R. Kiernan, Tanith Lee, or women in horror/SF in general might wish to avail their ears of two recent episodes of the StarShipSofa podcast.

Tanith Lee is interviewed -- at some length -- during the "Interrogations" segment of StarShipSofa # 175.  Tony C. Smith's simple but intriguingly open-ended set of questions (which are the same for each interviewee) results in some fascinating details about  her working style.     

Caitlin R. Kiernan's SF story "Galapagos" is one of the two Main Fictions for StarShipSofa #176.  This one is not as horrific as much of her work, but it has a distinctively surreal flavor.  Regular Sofa narrator eldritchhobbit does her usual  fine job of bringing the story's viewpoint character to life.
