Just a couple of free options for some quality Lovecraftian entertainment this pre-Halloween weekend:
1) If you've only got 9 minutes to get your chills, try the excellent short film Annotated, by Joe Lopez. It's only available online until Halloween, but it's definitely worth taking those few minutes to watch. I watched it last night , & I'm still thinking about that final scene. Not in a warm & fuzzy way, either . . .

2) If you can spare a bit more time for your Lovecraftian fix, StarShipSofa No. 209 features Mike Allen's (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
time_shark) post-apocalyptic Mythos tale "Her Acres of Pastoral Playground." This one originally appeared in Cthulhu's Reign (DAW 2010).
The podcast also offers an interview with Mike, plus some remarkably disturbing cover art at the Sofa web site.
