Anyone looking for -- or even just vaguely interested in -- imaginative variants on the haiku form in English should check out this week's Montage from The Haiku Foundation.   Selected as usual by Allan Burns, these 21 haiku by O Mabson Southard, Marlene Mountain, and  John Martone run the gamut from (once) traditional 5-7-5 syllable counts to one-liners both horizontal and vertical.

If you are a poet, or simply enjoy reading experimental/unusual poetry, there's plenty of inspiration here.  I continue to be fascinated by this weekly "comparative haiku" feature, which provides a lot of education in very little time.
