Sunday sunset -- triple threat/treat!
Apr. 24th, 2009 05:00 pmThe latest Pretty Sky Alert from
syndicated concerns an event scheduled for a much more reasonable hour than the one I mentioned earlier this week. (Whew!)
On Sunday evening around sunset, check out the western sky for a three-way conjunction: the crescent Moon, Mercury, and the Pleiades star cluster. This one sounds as though it's going to be absolutely gorgeous, with or without binoculars. If we can just catch a break from the rain predicted here in Colorado, I don't intend to miss it.
Here's hoping for clear skies wherever you are, and plenty of inspiration for the artists and poets. Hey, I've got to link this post into "writing, reading, & related remarks" somehow . . .
